The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provides an extensive number of services for women’s health including: well examinations, breast care, pap smears, contraception, uterine hydrosonography, treatment of gynecological problems, menopause and perimenopause (counseling and hormone replacements therapy), infertility, endometriosis, and vaginal support disorders. Conservative surgical and endoscopic procedures are also provided for all forms of gynecologic surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic infertility surgery and endoscopic incontinence surgery.

Treatment is provided for female pelvic cancers including those originating in the ovary, uterus, and cervix, as well as trophoblastic (placental) tumors utilizing a full range of operative techniques, reconstructive and fertility sparing procedures, chemotherapy, investigational treatments, and consultation regarding radiation therapy. Obstetrical care is provided at California Hospital Medical Center and Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, including obstetrical ultrasound, pre-conception counseling, perinatal consultation, amniocentesis, fetal ultrasound and echocardiography, medical genetic counseling, antepartum fetal testing (ultrasound & echocardiography).

Infertility services are provided in Advanced Reproductive Care, including evaluation and treatment of all forms of infertility, male and female, and reproductive hormonal disorders of women and men. Treatments include the full range of Assisted Reproductive Techniques, including ovulation induction, superovulation, intra-uterine insemination (IUI), IVF, GIFT, intra-cytoplasmic injection (ICSI), egg donation and investigational treatments. Fertility-enhancing and fertility-sparing conservative surgery, including endoscopic procedures and sterilization reversal are also provided.

All of the above services are offered in practice sites on the Health Sciences Campus of the Keck School of Medicine including one at the USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital. Other practice sites are located near California Hospital Medical Center, Glendale Memorial Hospital, Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Huntington Memorial Hospital, Providence Holy Cross and St. Joseph Medical Center, and Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital.
